Located on the east coast, facing Albania and the Greek mainland, Dassia beach is on a flat, narrow coastal strip backed by verdant wooded hills. A twin resort with Ipsos, a mile to the north it lies on both sides of the broad and busy main road, with much of the accommodation in the small roads leading towards the beach. Dassia beach itself is a long but very narrow stretch of gently sloping shingle and pebble backed by olive and pine trees. There is flat, aquamarine water, ideal for water-skiing. There are also swimming platforms. Accommodation comprises a campsite, rooms, studios and, somewhat unusually for Corfu, there is a preponderance of larger holiday hotels. There is a mixture of tavernas, snack bars, pizzerias, casual and mainly inexpensive beach bars, and restaurants.

Beach location: Accessed from the main Corfu to Paleokastritsa road. Watch for the signposted turning. You need to be vigilant as this is a fast road and you can be quickly past it. From the main road through the resort, Dassia beach is signposted in several places with the distance varying between 0-1 km.
Disabled access: Yes-Access is possible at several points. Car parking: Limited at the beach itself. Best to park in the resort and walk or utilise one of the car parks associated with particular eateries or bars. Food outlets/restaurants: Yes-Lots of provision. Sand/pebbles/shingle: If you like pebbles, you'll love Dassia! Sunbeds/umbrellas: Yes.  Showers: Yes-For toilets, utilise the bars or tavernas.
Safe for children: Shingle underfoot giving out to sand at the waterline. Water gets deep pretty quickly. Supervise less proficient swimmers. Watersports: Yes-a wide selection. Main users: Tourists.
Well cared for: Yes-even the rubbish bins are topped with growing flowers!
Mooring for boats: No. Try Gouvia next door.
Next to quayside/harbour: There is some boat traffic but it's not obtrusive.
